NSHS seals the deal—2026 is officially Bad Bunny’s year.

What is Mania Musical?
Mania Musical was created by the website Spanish Plans. Each year, the site releases a bracket that allows schools across the United States to vote for their favorite songs. At North Scott High School, the Spanish Department builds its own Mania Musical bracket by combining the two most popular Spanish Plans brackets with their own selections.
When the competition first began at NSHS, the votes were counted by hand in each class. Today, the process has become streamlined through Google Forms, which makes it easier for students to participate. The event has become a favorite in Spanish classes, drawing enthusiastic participation every year.
2026 Winner: Bad Bunny

"BAILE INoLVIDABLE" - Bad Bunny
The Mania Musical 2026 winning song is a high-energy salsa track that blends reggaeton beats with an irresistible rhythm. Centered on nostalgia and the difficulty of letting go, the song resonated with many students. Many pointed to the music video—featuring an older man reminiscing about dancing with his lover in his youth—as especially moving, while others praised its lyrics and instrumentation. It was a clear hit!
Of course, “BAILE INoLVIDABLE” is just one of Bad Bunny’s many successes. At the 2026 Grammy Awards, he made history as the first Spanish artist to win Album of the Year. He also took home Best Música Urbana Album that same night, bringing him to a total of six Grammy wins. Beyond the Grammys, he continued his standout year with a performance in this year’s Super Bowl halftime show, further solidifying his global impact.
