Biden's Approach Towards a More Cannabis-Friendly Country

On October 6th, President Biden released a statement on his marijuana reform. His first step was pardoning those who have been incarcerated for possession of marijuana. This means they will be released from prison, and their criminal records will be scrubbed of those charges.

Many Americans have similar stances to the President, with 69% of voters agreeing to change marijuana’s status in Federal law. The breakdown of demographics is unsurprising, with most millennials in support. Of course, fewer Gen-X and Baby Boomer people are in support, but still impressive, with both around 60% in support.
