For the second year in a row Lucas Persson has qualified for state, and the second time being district champion. Lucas came in as the 1 seed and won all of his matches in straight sets qualifying for state singles. Sadly, no other Lancers placed in the top 4 or made it to state. On the 17th the Lancers faced off against Muscatine for the first round of districts. Dominantly winning 5-0. The Lancers then faced off against Cedar Rapids Jefferson losing 2-5. Congrats on a great season Lancers!

Girls Soccer

The Lady Lancers have had a great week with some incredible upsets. They played #11 ranked for 4A Pleasant Valley. The Lancers played a phenomenal game and pulled an upset 1-0. It was very much a needed win, not to mention the Lancers haven’t beaten PV since 2017. Defender Allie Moeller scored the one goal which led them to victory. On the 19th the Lancers faced off against Assumption for their last regular season game and also beat them 1-0. Freshman Reese Barnett had the one goal, and once again another amazing game played by the Lancers. These past two games were exactly what the Lancers needed to head to the postseason. They will play their first round of playoffs at home on the 28th, it will be their last home game of the season. Go Lancers!
