She enjoys shopping at Emily Found It because the store offers items that provide a personal and unique feel, allowing her style to feel more original and expressive. 

2. Do you prefer thrifting or buying brand-new clothes?  

Natalie sees the value in both thrifting and buying new clothes. She enjoys thrifting because of the excitement of searching for hidden gems, the lower prices, and the opportunity to find a one-of-a-kind piece. At the same time, she also appreciates shopping at places like the mall when she wants something specific, efficiently, or wants to keep up with current trends. For her, “It just depends on what you want to get out of your shopping trip.”

3. Favorite season for fashion 

Natalie's favorite season for fashion is early spring. She loves the transition period when she can start wearing lighter pieces like skirts and shorts again, “but you can still throw on a sweater or sweatshirt without getting too hot.” The mix of warm and cool weather gives her more freedom to experiment with different combinations and create outfits that are stylish and comfortable. 

4. Favorite piece of clothing you own

Although not a piece of clothing, Natalie says her favorite pieces are her everyday jewelry. Having signature jewelry is a simple way to quickly elevate your style, completing an outfit and adding a personal touch without requiring much effort. Her jewelry has become a signature part of her look and helps tie her outfits together.

To describe her style in one word, "eclectic" was her choice. Rather than sticking to just one fashion category, she combines a variety of styles to express her personality and stand out.

Marlayna enjoys shopping at the DAV, where she can thrift affordable and unique pieces that add personality to her wardrobe. She also enjoys visiting Hollister when she’s looking for trendy, cute tops. Having a mix of thrifted finds and brand-name basics allows her to balance individuality and current styles.

2. Do you prefer thrifting or buying brand-new clothes?

Marlayna strongly prefers thrifting because of the variety and creativity it offers. She enjoys searching for “fun, unique tops and bottoms, or even just a cheap basic” that can be styled in a variety of ways. In this way, she is able to build a stylish wardrobe without breaking the bank.

Her favorite season for fashion is fall. She loves the rich autumn colors and the opportunity to layer different pieces like boots, scarves, and sweaters. The cooler weather is a sweet spot where it allows her to experiment with different clothing combinations.

Marlayna's favorite items to wear are her collection of burgundy tops. Since it is her favorite color, these pieces have become a staple in her wardrobe and a signature part of her look.

She describes her style as “old-grandma-y.” She enjoys vintage-inspired pieces and classic, cozy looks that create the grandma vibe.
