My personal goal for this fundraiser is to increase student involvement across activities and promote prosocial behaviors. WE are North Scott High School, not a series of disparate activities and organizations with little to no crossover. WE should be there for one another because WE pride ourselves in our collective success. — Mrs. Grimesey

At North Scott High School, a new initiative is encouraging students to make the most of their time as Lancers—one experience at a time.
“The Lancer Experience” is a student bucket list designed to help students make the most out of their time at North Scott. By attending school events, completing acts of service, and supporting local businesses, students will create meaningful memories while engaging with their community.
Pick up a “Lancer Experience” list from the activities desk or the library.
Complete items on the list with friends—don’t forget to take pictures along the way!
Post your photos on social media:
Include #TheLancerExperience26 and tag @northscott.nhs on Instagram!
If you went to a local business, be sure to tag them in your post as well.
Start a folder in your North Scott Google Drive titled YourLastNAME_TheLancerExperience26.
Upload pictures of you completing the experience to this folder.
Label each photo: LastName_ItemName.
After you have completed the entire list, share the folder with sarah.grimesey@north-scott.k12.ia.us.
Deadline: Friday, May 15th.
Students who complete the full activity and submit photo evidence for each activity will be entered in a drawing to win four gift cards to local businesses!
Gift cards included: $20 from Tasty, $10 from Rudy’s, Twists, and Whiteys
Winners will be announced on Monday, May 18th.
Students are encouraged to complete the experience in groups, making it more fun while strengthening connections within the school and community. Supporting the National Honor Society's social media posts and engaging with partnered local businesses will also help expand the impact of the fundraiser.
“The Lancer Experience” was created by Claire Schnorrenberg, NHS Fundraising Chair, and Ryann Petersen, NHS Community Outreach Chair. By combining their roles, they developed a project that encourages students to fully embrace and experience what it truly means to be a Lancer.
Their goal is to inspire school spirit, foster community involvement, and support local businesses—all while helping students create lasting hometown memories.
