Protests over Iran’s leader, Ali Khamenei, are growing to new groups of people. Thousands across the country are protesting the tyrants in charge and waving hijabs around as a statement against the country’s misogynistic dress code. Despite the communication blackout, video clips of girls confronting teachers and officials in school have made it to social media. Some even show groups of students stomping on photos of the leader, chanting “Death to the dictator.”
Retaliating with violence is unsure at this point for Khamenei, as the look of clubbing children is not one the country desires. The world is watching, and many areas such as Europe, Canada, the US, and Turkey show their support of the protests.
