Girls Tennis
The Lady Lancers had some exciting matches this week, despite facing a few tough losses. They traveled to Bettendorf to take on Pleasant Valley, where victories at No. 1 and No. 2 singles made it a close contest. However, the Lancers fell 4-5, but they showed there’s still room for growth. On Thursday, they hosted Bettendorf at home and battled through some competitive matches, but ultimately came up short. Saturday brought better news, as the Lancers found success by winning the Assumption Invite, with several standout individual performances. Looking ahead, the team will face Clinton on April 15th, followed by a home match against Muscatine on Thursday. Then on April 25th, the Lancers will host Waukee Northwest and Johnston, and travel to Cedar Rapids to face off against Dowling and Des Moines Valley for more exciting matches. Come out and support your Lady Lancers!
Boys Tennis

The boys' team has had an eventful start to their season, taking on the top teams in the MAC. On April 8th, the Lancers faced off against Pleasant Valley, falling 1-8. Despite the tough loss, there was a major highlight as Lucas Persson secured a big win at No. 1 singles, coming out on top in a third-set super tiebreaker. Later that week, the Lancers took on Bettendorf. Although they dropped the meet 2-7, Persson continued his strong play with another win at No. 1 singles, and he teamed up with Kellan Wanck for a victory at No. 1 doubles. The match against Clinton, originally scheduled for April 15th, was postponed. Then they will travel to Muscatine to face off against the Muskies and hopefully secure a win. There's plenty of season ahead, come out and support your Lancers!
Girls Soccer

As for girls' soccer, the Lady Lancers have a promising season ahead despite a few early losses. On the 8th, they fell to Bettendorf, a top-10 team in the state and one of the strongest teams in the MAC. Then on the 10th, they faced Iowa City Liberty in what was arguably their best performance of the season, though the final score didn’t reflect their outstanding effort. The team bounced back in a big way on the 15th, dominating the River Queens with an 8-0 victory. With a well-rounded lineup and strong potential, the Lady Lancers are set for an exciting season!
Boys Soccer

On the 4th, the Lancers faced a tough loss at home, falling 0-4 to the Saints. However, Xavier is one of the top teams in the state, so there’s no reason for the Lancers to hang their heads. After a few challenging games to start the season, the team bounced back dominantly with a 7-0 win over Clinton. On the 17th, the Lancers will travel to Iowa City to take on Iowa City Liberty. Go cheer on your Lancers!
