What has been going on in the Nancy Guthrie case?

What is the Nancy Guthrie case?
“Nancy Guthrie was last seen on January 31, before she was apparently kidnapped, disappearing from her secluded home in Arizona’s Catalina Foothills without her phone — or critical medications.” (link) So Nancy Guthrie was supposedly kidnapped by a masked man on Feb. 1st, 2026.
The days following the kidnapping
During the days following, there were ransom notes demanding millions of dollars. There were also emotional videos of Nancy’s kids begging for the return of their mother. A video was also revealed of a masked person tampering with the security camera at Nancy’s Tucson home.
What the Guthrie family is saying
A week after the kidnapping, Savannah Guthrie posted a video stating that the family is offering up to $1,000,000 for any information leading to the recovery of Nancy. “In an Instagram post, Savannah Guthrie posted a photo of the flowers with a caption that read, “We feel the love and prayers from our neighbors, from the Tucson community and from around the country.””

What the police are saying
The Pima County sheriff states that they are making progress. The sheriff has a dedicated team working with the FBI, specifically on this case. They are operating under the assumption that Nancy is still alive. (link)
